Who we are
The Work League is a product of Club Golf League LLC, an Illinois company. Club Golf League LLC is under common ownership with Element 46, a Chicago-based identity and security firm — our platform is built on the same security foundations Element 46 provides to its own clients.
Information we collect
When your company sets up a league through The Work League, we collect your name, phone number, and email address (typically your work email). Depending on the activities your company runs, we may also collect activity-specific information such as match results, tournament registrations, and any photos or writeups you choose to submit with a match.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate your company's leagues and tournaments: authenticating your login, scheduling and recording matches, maintaining standings, and sending you communications about your league activity. Your phone number is used for login (via one-time passcode) and, if you opt in, for text reminders.
Text messages (SMS)
Text messaging is strictly opt-in. If you consent, we may send you match reminders and league updates by text. You can withdraw consent at any time from your profile. Message and data rates may apply. We do not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This does not include text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — this information will not be shared with any third parties for any purpose.
Email communications
We send transactional and league-related emails. Marketing or newsletter-style emails always include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is honored immediately.
What your employer can see
Your company's designated administrators can see who's participating, league standings, and match results within your company's league — the same visibility you'd expect from any company-run activity. We share only what's needed to operate the league: we don't share your personal phone number or additional contact details with your employer beyond what they already have (such as your work email), and we don't share your league activity with anyone outside your company's league. You see who was actually reached by a league communication, not a target list.
Data security
Our platform is built on the security practices of Element 46, an identity and security firm under common ownership with Club Golf League LLC. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted credentials and phone-based authentication rather than passwords.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your company's league is active on our platform, and for a reasonable period afterward to preserve league history and standings. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us below, subject to what we need to retain for legal or record-keeping purposes.
Your choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@theworkleague.com.
Children's privacy
The Work League is a workplace product and is not directed to individuals under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the revised effective date at the top of this page.
